CDR Young was born and raised near Annapolis, MD and earned his commission through the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps at Pennsylvania State University in January 1992 where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering. He completed nuclear power training at Orlando, FL and West Milton, NY.

Commander Anthony Carullo is a native of Quincy, Massachusetts, and was raised in Central Florida. He enlisted in the Navy as a Machinist’s Mate in 1986 and attended Nuclear Field "A" School and Nuclear Power School (NPS) in Orlando, Florida. Following NPS, he attended Auburn University under the Nuclear Enlisted Commissioning Program, graduating in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. He subsequently earned a Masters of Science degree in Management from Troy University in 1999.

Commander Robert A. Roncska, a native of Dunkirk, New York, graduated from the State University of New York Maritime in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering with a Nuclear Option.

Commander Mack is a native of Wheaton, Maryland. Commander Adams is the son of Army Sergeant Major, enlisted in the Navy in 1985, and was commissioned through the Nuclear Enlisted Commissioning Program in 1991 after earning a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Texas at Austin.

Commander Craig Blakely, a native of Reno, Nevada, graduated from the University of California at Davis in 1989 with a degree in Civil Engineering. Commander Rogeness, a native of Forest City, Iowa enlisted in the Naval Service on August 26th 1980 as a Machinist Mate. During eleven years of enlisted service he served on board USS MAHAN (DDG-42), completed six strategic deterrent patrols on USS FLORIDA (SSBN-728B), instructed at the S5G Prototype and Nuclear Field ‘A’ School and attained the rank of Chief Petty Officer before being commissioned through the Enlisted Commissioning Program at Prairie View A&M University, Texas, in
