remote controlled submarines

Hello Andreas,
I know nothing about Beluga 1710 but
I am impressed with the pictures you have provided. I have never seen remote controlled submarines and their internal part. Did you make everithing yourself or you buy the hydro-mechanical part at the special shop? How much it may cost? I would make something like that...

Re: remote controlled...

Hallo Plovets,

Except the elektronics everything is build up from scratch. But, this is noch my boat, it's from my friend Dirk. I have no pictures from mine online.

The dive-components are selfmade. there are a few types on the marked but there expensive (200€ each) and not very reliabel. There are 2 piston tanks in the boat.

For our Beluga project we plan to use a air pressure system with 2 piston trim tanks. Also the periscope and the other devices are air controlled.
I hope I answered all your questions. If not, feel free to contact me.

If you are interessted in more pictures, please visit our union on
http://www.sonar-ev.de. Under Events you can find much more photos, also from russian submarines (they are the best btw)!

With kind regards

Andreas

Re: remote controlled...

Hallo,

the Alfa you see on the picures hast some very cool stuff. The motor is a Plettenberg motor and cost ca. 400€ each. There are 40 (!) cells with 8 Ah. The whole boat cost about 2000€. Its extremly fast and agile.

The Beluge we plan to build cost about 3000€. It will be 210m long, 30cm beam. The weight is about 50-55kg. Onboard will be 2 compressors, 1 air tank, 1 trim tanks, 6 12V16Ah cells, 3-4 telescopic devices (air controlled) and 2 Dunker motors. Time to build is about 2 years. To build a boat like this is allott of work. Guess what, I would never sell it.

With kind regards

Andreas
