Richard Hunt receives the Defense Superior Service Medal for his tour as Commander, Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA) from Commander, U.S. Central Command, U.S. Army Gen. John Abizaid, during Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa change of command ceremony. CJTF-HOA is a unit of United States Central Command. The organization's mission is to prevent conflict, promote regional stability and protect Coalition interests in order to prevail against extremism.
